Matthew Crawford

Matthew Crawford is a senior fellow at the University of Virginia's Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture and fabricates parts for custom motorcycles at his home in Richmond, Virginia. He has a PhD in political philosophy from the University of Chicago and is the author of Shop Class as Soulcraft: An Inquiry Into the Value of Work (2009) and The World Beyond Your Head: On Becoming an Individual in an Age of Distraction (2015).
