The Christian Study Center of Gainesville, Florida, brings together students, faculty, and community members to explore the intellectual and cultural resources of the Christian tradition. Drawing on these resources the Study Center engages with the highest levels of scholarship in order to address enduring human questions and respond to challenges created by contemporary culture. The Study Center roots its work in the Christian faith as articulated in the scriptures and as summarized in the early creeds of the Church. In keeping with its Christian commitment, it takes a conversational approach to its educational program. The Study Center seek to enlarge and extend conversations rather than narrow or end them, and it gladly shares its lectern with those who share its questions — whether or not they share its Christian commitments.

The Study Center’s educational initiatives cover a broad range of topics, but it focuses on seven areas of inquiry that play a crucial role in modern culture: technology and the human; faith and vocation; arts and creativity; higher education and the university; moral and spiritual formation; self and society; and creation care and sustainability.
