On three Saturdays — November 7, 14, and 21, 2026 — the Theopolis Institute will host an online workshop on “Gift and Gratitude.” From the workshop description: “Anthropologists have studied gift cultures. Philosophers have analyzed the contours of the ‘pure gift.’ For theologians, the gift has become a master concept uniting theology proper, creation, Christology, ecclesiology, and everything else. In this, recent scholarship has recovered the insights of ancient, medieval, and early modern writers for whom “benefits” and gratitude were serious moral concerns.
