In order to help orient you to our website — and to the reading and listening opportunities it presents to our members — we encourage you to explore the linked pages below.
Help page
Here you’ll find answers to some questions about your account as well as a descriptive guide to new features of our website. There is a link to this page in the bottom menu on every page on the site.
Topic index
All our audio programs and Sound Thinking posts have been diligently tagged (using natural, not artificial intelligence) to refer you to materials that may deepen your grasp of many key ideas. (There is also a Guest Index on the site, and a page that provides biographical and bibliographical information on our guests.)
Favorites
You can compile a list of audio features to revisit whenever you have time for more reflection.
Meet our Partners
We’ve set aside a page to introduce listeners to all of the organizations (18 and counting) who have shared recordings of lectures or texts recorded as “audio reprints.” We also regularly share news from our Partners, such as upcoming events or new issues of periodicals, which you can read about here.
Bonus Features
Thanks to that company of Partners, we have a growing archive of audio never presented as Friday Features or as segments on our Journal. Browse that collection here, and come back frequently: it’s growing steadily.
Listen for free
If you have friends, colleagues, or family members who might be interested in what we do and how we do it, there’s a page with hours of free listening that might introduce our work better than any description. (And if you’re looking for a verbal explanation in addition to compelling aural experiences, this page and its linked offspring are also available.)
Mars Hill Audio Stream
We recently launched a radio-like 24/7 audio stream. There is a player on our Listen for free page presenting a stream of hundreds of hours of material we’ve produced since 1993. (If you want to let friends know about the “Mars Hill Audio experience,” sending them a link to that page is a relatively frictionless option.)
18 most recent Features
Because we frequently add new audio features to our growing catalog, we keep this page updated with the 18 most recently published Bonus or Archive Features. Check this page regularly so you don’t miss any new lectures or readings, or any archived interviews we have resurrected.
Coming back Home
In addition to featuring an audio player for the latest Friday Feature and recent Sound Thinking posts, our home page introduces visitors to some highlights from our growing catalog.
Sound Thinking: For further reading
On our home page, you will see a section prominently displayed that says, “Latest wisdom from Sound Thinking.” What is Sound Thinking? It is the closest thing we have to a “blog” at Mars Hill Audio. On our Sound Thinking pages, you can read hundreds of excerpts from books and periodicals providing textual commentary on topics discussed in our various audio products. Think of Sound Thinking as a continuation of the conversation, but in prose. Besides on the home page, you can find it in the navigation bar near the top of every webpage on our site.
