David Cayley
David Cayley (1946–2026) was a writer and broadcaster based in Toronto. From 1971 to 2012 he worked for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s Radio service. Cayley documented the philosophy of several key thinkers in the 20th century, including Ivan Illich, Northrop Frye, George Grant, and René Girard. Most of his radio work is posted on the podcast section of his website, which also includes various occasional writings. Cayley was the author of many books, including Ivan Illich: An Intellectual Journey (Penn State Press, 2021). Ken Myers interviewed Cayley about that book on Volume 163 of the Journal.
