Jack R. Baker
Jack R. Baker is Principal, Internal Communications at a fintech company. Baker was born and raised in Shelby, a small farming community in Western Michigan. He is an expert writer and communicator whose career has spanned education, ecommerce, non-profits, and fintech. He is a storyteller adept at translating meaning to meet an audience’s needs, and his imagination fuels his visionary and strategic thinking. He derives deep joy in building authentic community and is a reformer who embraces challenges, nurtures the good, and seeks collaborative solutions. He earned a Ph.D. in English from Purdue University, an M.A. in Medieval Studies from the Medieval Institute at Western Michigan University, an M.B.A. in Executive Leadership, and a B.A. in Philosophy and Worldview Studies. His family is his greatest joy, and in his free time, he runs, bikes, and builds mundane things out of wood.
