Eugene Peterson
Pastor and writer Eugene Peterson (1932–2018) served for many years as a Presbyterian pastor in Maryland, then taught spiritual theology at Regent College in Vancouver. He is the author of more than 30 books, including A Long Obedience in the Same Direction: Discipleship in an Instant Society; Tell It Slant: A Conversation on the Language of Jesus in His Stories and Prayers; Christ Plays in Ten Thousand Places: A Conversation in Spiritual Theology; and a paraphrase translation of the Bible called The Message.
