On March 21, from 7–9 pm, the Eliot Society will be hosting its first ever Community Arts Night, an evening of original artwork featuring local Christian artists from the Eliot Society’s Artists Fellowship. This event will feature a curated program of mixed-medium original work, followed by a reception. About the theme: “Lent highlights for us a paradox at the heart of the life of faith. In Lent, we remind ourselves of the brokenness of our own hearts, the sorrow of the world, and the barrenness of life apart from Christ. And yet we hold this sorrow in tension with our hope of resurrection joy. This paradox between suffering and hope is ripe for exploration in art.”
This event will be held in Crownsville, Maryland, at the home of Liz and Justin Horst. The address will be sent to attendees who register. Read more and register here.
