On March 26, 2026, Dr. Julia Wattacheril will give the 13th annual Anderson Lecture in Science and Religion at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Wattacheril will explore the breakdown in trust —both with the public and among themselves — among physicians and scientists over the past decades. The lecture topic is explained thus: “Systemic failures, perverse incentives, and institutional betrayal have left them longing for a way forward. In her talk, Dr. Julia Wattacheril, MD, MPH, will show one physician-scientist’s approach to a way forward by embracing a fully human view of science and medicine that values truth and meaning amid suffering, and inspires healing, thus helping renew trustworthiness among scientists, physicians, institutions, and communities.”
Anselm House, a Christian study center at the University of Minnesota, is the host and sponsor of the annual Anderson Lecture. Learn more about the event here.
